As a solo-practitioner, I enjoy the opportunity to truly know my clients and meet their needs. As an immigrant myself,
I am deeply committed to helping immigrants navigate the U.S. legal system.

Just two years after earning her law degree from the University of Washington School of Law, Seattle attorney Katrina S. Zafiro realized a dream by opening her own legal practice. The Law Office of Katrina S. Zafiro focuses on immigration law and family law.

As a solo-practitioner, Katrina enjoys the opportunity to truly know her clients and meet their needs, and as an immigrant, she is deeply committed to helping immigrants navigate the U.S. legal system. Her dedication to family law leads her to volunteer as a teacher on divorce law at the King County Courthouse. She is fluent in Tagalog, Visayan and Ilocano.

Prior to launching her law firm in 2005, Katrina worked for two prominent Puget Sound law firms, working in the areas of complex business litigation and class action lawsuits.

As a law student, Katrina served as a legal intern in the family law unit of Columbia Legal Services and with the Self-Help Plus Program of the King County Bar Association. She also volunteered for the Northwest Justice Project and the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project. Before embarking on a legal career, Katrina worked as an educator in public and private schools, and for nonprofit organizations.

Katrina was born in the Philippines and still greatly appreciates the culture and people of her homeland. In addition to her law practice, she regularly volunteers as a Tagalog, Visayan and Ilocano interpreter and translator through the Access to Justice Language Bank.
